The Broadstairs Town Shed offers older people, primarily older men, a space to work together on woodworking projects, and learn, share and socialise together.
Since its inception in May 2014 it has proved so popular that we needed to take on a new and bigger space, the Big Shed. It needed some love and attention, converting from its original use as a car repair unit, and lift to make it completely accessible and turn it into a great workshop and community space.
In order to do this and also to ensure the long term sustainability of the project we had to raise vital funds to help cover our running costs.
Our “Friends of the Shed Scheme” is one great way to support the Shed and be actively involved in our future.
You can become a Friend and support the Sheds work by a donation as
follows:
Single Membership £25 p.a.
Couple Membership £40 p.a.
In return for your donation you will receive:
The knowledge that you have helped in a key way to helping us to help more people in turn help others !
