On Tuesday, 1st October 2024 we finally did it. We have a new roof!!

A sunny day in Broadstairs meant we could fling open the roller doors at The Shed to welcome everyone that has helped us over the last 6 years raise funds for out  'Raise The Roof' appeal for the Shed for a ribbon cutting ceremony, a cuppa and a lovely buffet

From raffles, a Gala dinner, countless small donations, grants and funds received, and thanks to significant grants we won this year via the Government’s recent 'Community Ownership Fund' and The National Lottery ‘Awards for All’ scheme, we finally hit our target.

It meant that we sadly had to close the Shed for 3 months, whilst the work happened on site, but it was worth the wait.

Everyone that joined us to celebrate this mammoth task and our crossing the line had a fab time, and remarked how warm it is already!!

With solar panels now installed too, and new electrics ( plus an imminent upgrade of the dust extraction system) the Shed is now safer, warmer and more sustainable too.

A huge achievement in this our 10th year!! What a team.
